Staffordshire Police aims to promote equality of opportunity to everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief or sexual orientation.
Employers are obliged to set out what their policy is in relation to the six strands of diversity, as they are known and how they are going to ensure that people are treated fairly.
Staffordshire Police and the Police Authority decided to combine their policies on these six strands into one Equality Scheme which was launched in December 2007. This document sets out what we intend to do to make sure that people are not discriminated against.
